My name is Diego Vicente and I’m the founder of Diego Discovers – a site dedicated to experiencing and sharing the underbelly of New York City and beyond. I was born and raised in Connecticut to Portuguese and Argentinean parents who truly instilled that hard work and dedication are ingredients to the recipe of limitless success. I was drawn to the city that never sleeps for many reasons; the endless varieties of eggs Benedict and Mexican brunch being one of them. NYC’s level of urban lawlessness and diversity inspired me to immerse myself and interact with very unique people like The Human Carpet, a man who gets paid to be stepped and danced on. Each neighborhood, building and business is unique, like The Lodge at Gallow Green, a rooftop bar that transforms into a cozy Scottish lodge for the winter. I hope this site, if even for a moment, helps open up your mind. Maybe you’ll learn, maybe you’ll laugh, but ultimately I hope you have fun.
